Every Christian needs to be able to study the Bible for themselves, yet often feels ill-equipped. Grow in your skill in handling God's Word by applying the principles taught in our one-day Bible conference.
Session 1: Biblical Exposition (Josh Buice)
What is biblical exposition and why is it important for Christians to commit to this type of study, teaching, and preaching.
Session 2: Traveling Instructions & Exploring the Context (Laramie Minga)
What path of study should we take to rightly understand the Bible? The first stop on our path is context. What is context and what are the varying types of context? How does context help us understand the meaning of the text?
Session 3: Mapping the Structure (Scott Aniol)
How has the biblical author organized the text? What tools can we employ to discern this for ourselves? How does the structure contribute to the meaning of the text?
Session 4: Crossing the Bridge (Charles Huckaby)
Now what? Having studied the context and structure of the biblical passage how do we land at the meaning of the text and how do we make right applications for our lives or for the people we're teaching?
All four session from the conference are available to view on our Ramah YouTube channel.
